Overview
Designed and developed a responsive microlearning experience to help B2B SaaS sellers navigate the “good enough” objection without challenging the prospect or pitching prematurely. Learners move through a realistic sales conversation, explore pressures that can emerge as demand grows, and leave with a practical four-step framework.
The Performance Challenge
Designed and developed a responsive microlearning experience to help B2B SaaS sellers navigate the “good enough” objection without challenging the prospect or pitching prematurely. Learners move through a realistic sales conversation, explore pressures that can emerge as demand grows, and leave with a practical four-step framework.
Learning Objectives
1. Distinguish responses that encourage discovery from those that challenge the prospect or introduce the solution prematurely.
2. Turn common scaling pressures into curiosity-led questions that invite the prospect to describe their experience.
3. Apply a four-step framework to acknowledge what works, explore growth, listen for friction, and position the solution around the need revealed.
Design & Development
1. Leading with a decision: Rather than beginning with objection-handling rules, I opened with a realistic “good enough” objection and asked learners to choose how they would respond. This creates immediate relevance and allows learners to recognize the consequences of challenging the prospect or pitching too early.
2. Scaffolding the path to discovery: I sequenced the experience from response selection to the pressures that can emerge as demand grows. Learners then compare assumption-based questions with curiosity-led alternatives before reviewing a four-step framework they can use in future conversations.
3. Extending Rise beyond native blocks: I adapted existing web code and used AI-assisted HTML, CSS, and JavaScript customization to create branded scenario, carousel, and checklist interactions. I remained responsible for the instructional decisions, visual customization, responsive behavior, troubleshooting, and final quality assurance.
Responsive Design & Accessibility
I designed the experience to remain clear and usable across laptop, landscape, and mobile layouts while avoiding reliance on any single sensory cue. Key considerations included:
Quality & Iteration
I refined the experience through repeated instructional, visual, and responsive reviews. Key revisions included strengthening scenario choices and feedback, clarifying the contrast between assumption-based and curiosity-led questions, simplifying accordion behavior, improving checklist completion states, and correcting alignment and spacing across screen sizes. I then tested the exported, AWS-hosted experience in incognito sessions on both laptop and mobile devices to verify the interactions, media, and navigation outside the authoring environment.
Takeaways
This project brought together scenario-based learning, sales enablement, visual design, responsive customization, thoughtful AI-assisted development, and disciplined quality assurance. It reinforced my belief that effective objection-handling training should not simply give sellers a script. It should help them listen, recognize what may be changing, and choose a response that keeps discovery open.
